HOG 'n' BOG, Sad News for Thunder, Tequila Rose & Having No Dad

A new addition to the HOG-POD. A catch up of the weeks action from behind the saddle and otherwise. This week’s episode covers Belfast Chapter’s HOG n BOG Rally, sad news about Thunder in the Glens, the upcoming Malta rally, bottle after bottle of Tequila Rose and having no dad.

This week, Kenny and Ben are all about the Belfast Chapter’s HOG ‘n’ BOG rally, and it sounds like it was one for the books. The weather couldn’t have been better – a total “belter” as they put it, which made the whole weekend even more enjoyable. The rally sold out, and the Viking theme gave the whole thing a fun twist, with everyone getting into the spirit of things. From the epic rides to the Viking-inspired costumes, it was clear that the whole event was buzzing with energy and good vibes. Kenny and Ben chat about how the motorcycle community really came together for this one, and it was the perfect setting for what turned out to be an unforgettable weekend.

One of the highlights for Kenny was his first-ever gig with the band. It was a big moment, not just for him but for the band as a whole – it was their debut performance, and they had no idea how it was going to go down. But, as Kenny tells it, the crowd absolutely loved it. The whole thing was a mix of nerves and excitement, but in the end, they pulled it off, and it was n incredible feeling. Playing in front of that crowd added a whole new layer to the weekend’s already epic vibe.

Along with the highs of the HOG ‘n’ BOG, they also take a moment to reflect on some sad news from Thunder in the Glens, which has been a tough blow for the Dunedin Chapter and the Aviemore community. But even in the face of that sadness, there’s an optimistic note about the future, with their upcoming trip to the rally in Malta on the horizon. Both Kenny and Ben are excited about the chance to experience something new and different, and there’s a real sense of anticipation as they talk about what they’re looking forward to.
