Episode 3 – What To Do At Winter

Winter, Harley & Chapter

By the time Episode 3 is released, we will have officially entered into the Autumn season. It’s hard to believe that it is that late into 2022 already. There have been rallies up and down the country in September, as well as many ride-outs and other events.

The passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, made many of us pause during the period of national mourning, which resulted in cancelled and rescheduled events across every sector, industry, group, club and sports team.

This was true also of many Harley groups and H.O.G Chapters up and down the country, with FaceBook being flooded with notices and posts announcing the complete cancellation or rescheduling of ride outs & charity Toy Runs. The level of organisation of these events is deceptively large, so hopefully planned events can all get back on track now that the country has began moving again.

Here at HOG-POD, we also took a little time out but have returned full of energy to finalise the recording and editing of episode 3, ‘What to Do in Winter’.

So, Whats Happening in this Episode?

As winter rolls around, the vast majority of the countries motorcycles are put away, however, not in all cases. After canvassing H.O.G Chapters, and various Harley groups, it became clear that there is a mix of approaches to the winter season. Some carry on regardless, others, strip and pack their machines away until the break of Spring. If you ride alone, whatever you choose is totally up to you, however, what about those that ride their Harley’s together in a group or a Chapter?

What is the role of the Chapter committee in these bleaker months? What is done to welcome new members when riding is off the table?

We have had all kinds of responses to this, and we share some of them in episode 3, along with this episode’s special guest. Don’t forget to tune in and what ever you do, don’t forget to subscribe to our alerts and news to get the heads up and all things new from HOG-POD.

Stay safe and catch you next week, in the meantime, catch up with Season 1 – Episode 2
